Every Wednesday from September, we'll dive into the world of Fusion Bellydance – a modern dance style that combines the precise technique of bellydance with creativity and contemporary movement. The classes are for anyone who wants to develop a deeper understanding of their body, improve their dance technique, and discover the joy of movement. You'll learn to control different parts of your body with greater precision, build solid technical foundations, and gradually gain more confidence, ease, and freedom in your dancing.

☾ Fusion Bellydance Technique Step by Step | 18:30–19:25 (55 min)
for beginners and forever beginners

This course is for anyone who wants to build solid technical foundations, regardless of previous dance experience.

The classes focus primarily on proper dance technique, body awareness, and understanding the principles behind each movement. You'll learn basic isolations of different parts of the body (hips, chest, head, arms...), correct posture and alignment, coordination, and movement through space. You'll also gradually explore the basic principles of layering and develop greater control over your body.

☽ Fusion Bellydance – Advanced Combinations | 19:30–20:45 (75 min)
for intermediate and advanced dancers with experience in (Tribal) Fusion Bellydance or other bellydance styles

We'll focus on expanding your Fusion Bellydance movement vocabulary and work with more advanced isolations, complex layering, dynamics, musicality, and movement through space. Each class will include dance combinations or a short choreography inspired by different forms of Fusion Bellydance – from Old School Tribal Fusion and Vintage Fusion to Indian Fusion, Urban Fusion, and other contemporary styles.

Each class includes a dance warm-up with exercises focusing on dance technique, movement, and improvisation inspired by contemporary dance, Gaga movement language, and movement therapy, as well as stretching and strengthening exercises.

Class size is limited to 12 participants to ensure plenty of individual attention and guidance.

Classes take place at Studio AKA, Starobrněnská 16, Brno.

Public transport: Šilingrovo náměstí / Zelný trh stops
(trams 5, 6, 12 / 9, 4)

By car: Zone B street parking is available nearby, or you can use the Domini Park parking garage.

Studio AKA is located in Brno city centre. The entrance is in the passageway connecting Starobrněnská and Dominikánská streets, between Pivnice U Poutníka and Dům pánů z Kunštátu.
